CIO magazine has a worthwhile piece about the interplay of selection and personality testing. Some of this will be a no-brainer to seasoned talent management practitioners ("Wait - you mean there's a connection between cultural fit, employee happiness, retention, and productivity?"), but I'm nonetheless glad to see them bang this particular drum. Organizations should absolutely pay attention to cultural fit when making hiring decisions
That said, I'm slightly appalled by the first person that the articles features. How is "describe yourself using hashtags" a good interview question? It comes off as awkward and forced, and frankly reveals far more about the interviewer than the interviewee. Talk about trying way too hard to be hip. Ugh.
